Log Homes
A legacy of warmth, strength and beauty
The history of log homes dates back to the early days of American culture, with the first log home originating in our country somewhere during the 17th century. Considering, many people still actively seek log-style homes, we think it’s safe to say they are here to stay. Is it any wonder? From their history to their beauty; their versatility to their strength, there’s just something incredibly special about log homes.
Nothing compares to the beauty and artistry of a log home. Designed for style and efficiency, Timberhaven’s log homes are constructed from Kiln-Dried Engineered Logs or Kiln-Dried Traditional Solid Logs – both will last for generations to come. These logs are laid horizontally and stacked, secured and interlocked at the corners to form the structure of your home. From small log cabins situated on a mountainside to the most elaborate, state-of-the-art designs, we have hundreds of floor plans ideas from which to choose – or we can provide the custom design services you need to ensure your log home perfectly matches your lifestyle.
Our Kiln-Dried Engineered Logs are the highest-grade logs available in the market. Through our lamination process, the solid log results in the most stable, virtually check free Eastern White Pine product. These premium-grade logs are dryer than any other log with an average 9% moisture content. We are very proud to offer this truly unique product to the log home and log cabin market.
Our Kiln-Dried traditional logs are dried using a complex process to control the amount of moisture in the wood products used to build your log home or log cabin. The drying rate is carefully monitored to prevent an imbalance that can cause cracking. When finished the moisture content of Timberhaven kiln-dried logs is less than 19% average per log.
