Ed is a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Kathy is a former kitchen designer with a degree in architectural technology. We saw our first log home in upstate New York in 1982 and got hooked on the idea of living in one. For the next twenty years or so (Ed was still on active duty) we researched the industry, attending log home shows and seminars. We became experts.
Just prior to Ed’s retirement in 1998 we were approached by Kuhns Bros. Log Homes to represent their company in New Hampshire. For fifteen years we enjoyed our partnership with Kuhns Bros. selling the best product in the business. Unfortunately, with the real estate downturn that started in 2008, Kuhns Bros. was unable to adjust quickly enough and had to close their doors in March of 2013. As with all things, every cloud has a silver lining; the vice president for sales and the chief engineer for Kuhns Bros. pooled their resources and were able to procure the equipment of Kuhns Bros. and two months later Timberhaven Log Homes was born.
The corporate office went from over a hundred at Kuhns Bros. to less than twenty at Timberhaven. We are now able to offer the same high quality at a very competitive price.
