The Hubbards-Rhodes custom log home made its debut in the March 2017 issue of Log Cabin Homes magazine. The design features 1,024 square feet of living space, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. A covered porch and rear deck were incorporated into this design in order to maximize outdoor entertainment spaces. A walk-out basement will be finished in the near future which will add additional 600 square feet of space to the home. Board and batten was installed to the rear shed dormer. This hybrid finish brings a cottage feel to this beautiful log home.

This custom log home was built using one of Timberhaven’s largest logs – an engineered White Pine 8x12 log with Dovetail corner assembly. Unique color combinations were introduced on the exterior finishes – the railing was painted black and the porch/deck floor painted sage green. The palette speaks to the chic sophisticated finish also interweaved throughout the interior of the home.

Inside, a vaulted beam and purlin roof system makes the living room feel open and comfortable. A White Pine heavy timbered stair system brings additional character to the space. There is plenty of natural light captured in each room of this log home. A one-wall kitchen frees up space, creates clean lines and maximizes functionality. The floor plan also features a first floor bedroom and full bath.

Designers incorporated a second bedroom and study/loft area on the second level. Perfect for everyday or seasonal storage, a large walk-in-closet is situated to the rear of the bedroom.
